The Best of Kentucky is one of the most recognized annual award programs in the state. Thousands of Kentuckians vote each year to highlight the businesses and organizations they trust the most.

We made the list.

That means something to us. Not because of what it says about our work, but because of who it comes from. Every vote in support of this recognition represents a real person in our community. A client, a partner, a neighbor. That's what makes this one different.

What the Best of Kentucky Award Is

The Best of Kentucky is an annual program run by The Guide to Kentucky, a statewide publication dedicated to recognizing standout businesses. Readers vote across more than 20 industry and community categories throughout the year. Winners are verified by the editorial team to confirm each recognized business is in genuine good standing with consumers and industry organizations.

This isn't a pay-to-win program. There's no fee to be nominated, no fee to win. The recognition comes entirely from votes cast by real people in our state.

We were named a winner in the Business & Creative Services category as one of the state’s top video production companies.

Why This Recognition Matters to Us

There are awards that validate your performance against industry benchmarks. Then there are awards that tell you the community you actually serve is paying attention. Earlier this year, we took home a Platinum and a Gold at the Viddy Awards, an international video production competition that drew more than 2,500 entries from across the United States, Canada, and 22 other countries. That recognition told us we're competing at a high level globally.

StoryVid was built in Lexington. This is my hometown. While the Viddy Awards were great to bring back to the office, it’s also great to get love and support from our community. Our clients are here. They’re running retail stores, leading university programs, building industrial brands, and doing the work that makes Kentucky worth being in business in. When those people show up and vote for the companies they trust, that's the clearest signal we could ask for.

The Best of Kentucky tells us we're earning it at home.

Both matter. This one feels personal.

The Work That Got Us Here

We don't start with cameras. We start with goals.

Every project begins with one question: what does success actually look like for this client? From there, we reverse-engineer the creative. The story, the format, the distribution plan, all of it is designed around a defined outcome. You can read more about how that works on our process page.

That approach has produced work we're proud of. A commercial we built for Feeders Pet Supply exceeded one million YouTube views and delivered a 4.5x return on ad spend. A recruitment video we created for Lewis Honors College at the University of Kentucky became the college's go-to admissions asset and earned a Platinum Viddy Award.

The work looks different from project to project. The standard doesn't.

The Team Behind the Recognition

This recognition belongs to the team at StoryVid more than to anyone else. Every person we've brought on, in strategy, production, editing, and digital, is here because they care about making video that actually moves the needle. Not just looks good. Moves the needle.

Our clients deserve equal credit. The Lewis Honors College, Feeders Pet Supply, and every other organization that has trusted us with their stories brought genuine investment to the process. The best results we've ever gotten have always come from clients willing to think beyond the video and focus on what it's trying to accomplish.

That kind of partnership is what we're here for.

Looking Forward

Being named a Best of Kentucky winner is a milestone. It's not a finish line.

We're going to keep building work that competes at every level. We're going to keep refining a process that puts your goals ahead of our assumptions. And we're going to keep showing up for clients in this state who need a production partner, not just a production company.

If you're a Kentucky business that wants a video built around real outcomes, we'd love to hear about what you're working on.

Build something that wins.

Tell us what you’re trying to achieve and we’ll map the right approach.
